Semiotics of Digitalization in Music
Abstract
In the modern world, digitalization has covered all spheres of human life. Digitalization is also being actively introduced into art culture. New technologies related to digitalization stimulate new opportunities in art, often forming creative discoveries in an unexpected way and defining its perception in a completely new way. The pandemic of 2020-2021, associated with the coronavirus epidemic, has largely shown that digitalization has helped to actualize musical creativity. The audience could not directly attend the performances of the musicians. Instead, there were performances by artists from their homes, which provoked a new format of reuniting people, opened up new ways in the formation of a sound continuum and made it possible to perceive musical works. Thanks to this, new technologies have appeared in the transmission of musical performance, pushing traditional forms of the technical soundscape to new ideals and requirements.
