The Lyrics of the Poets of the Silver Age in Soviet Popular Culture

Abstract


The article is dedicated to the topic of popularization of 1900–1930 poetry, which is named “The Silver Age”, in soviet popular culture. In the text, there is a description of the reasons for modernists’ lyrics’ growing popularity. Moreover, there are examples of the songs and theatrical performances, in which the Silver Age poetry plays an important role. To write this article, the method of analyzing the modernists’ poems and songs, in which the poems were used, was chosen. The article is intended for specialists of Cultural Studies and History of literature and may be interesting for a wide range of readers.
