CONTINUITY AND TRADITIONALISM IN ALTAI CULTURE

Abstract

The author makes an attempt to trace the cultural continuity of the population of Altai by the example of national-cultural revival in this region at the end of the ХХth century, as well as the analysis of formation of the Altaian ethnic group. The conclusion is made about the desire the Altai people to idealize the past and restore the ancient wisdom.
