MOBILITY AS A VALUE IN THE «WESTERN» THEORIES OF MODERN CULTURE
Abstract
The article focuses on the research of concepts of mobility in sociological and cultural theories of the twentieth century. Mobility is one of the core values of contemporary culture, not just a characteristic of a global society. This conclusion based on analysis of the P. Sorokin’s theory of social mobility, the Z. Bauman’s concept of «liquid modernity», the J. Urry’s ideas of «mobile sociology» and «nomadology» of G. Deleuze and F. Guattari.
