FUNCTION OF BEAUTY: LIMITATION OF CLAIMS OF THE RATIONALITY

Abstract

The history of reflection on beauty is the history of failures and of naive answer to the question of beaul. A such negative experience of reflection allows to make 2 conclusions. The question of beauty is an eternal question that was asked by our predecessors, and will have to ask by our descendants. The functional status of beauty in the system of rational reflection is similar to the status of the noumenon in the Kantian system: restriction of claims of our rationality.
