MODERNIZATION OF RUSSIA: THE ABSURDITY AND NONSENSE IN MODERN POLITICS

Abstract

The article considers the discourse on modernization, which is relevant to the native culture. Based on the special features of modern politics being analyzed, the author concludes that multiplication of discursive practices is one of the reasons why the policy of modernization does not give an anticipated result. It is shown that this state of affairs can be determined by using the concept of cultural nonsense. The article concerns the specific characteristics of nonsense in politics and relates the differences between nonsense and absurd.
