INSIDE OUT: PRIVATE AND PUBLIC IN PHOTOGRAPHY

Abstract

The article deals with three published or exhibited photographic projects, analyzing them through the lens of «public / private» opposition. The text shows how photography is able to transfer private into public Thus, collective affectation and recognizing are involved, as well as the power of a gaze mediated by camera. Dealing with the process of transformations between public and private allows to reflect some of the very important photographic features: its ability to show something else besides what is actually depicted.
