THE ENLIGHTMENT’S AESTHETIC MODEL: THE FIGURE OF THE CASTRATO
Abstract
The article is dedicated to analysing the phenomenon of singerscastrates, whose art was, in fact, the aesthetic programme of the epoch. Owing to the fact, that their unsurpassed art realized the prevail ideas of baroque and classicism, their two-ages` domination of the Opera scene and their very existence, in spite of all the humanistic ideals of the Enlightenment, was possible.
