HOMO AESTHETICUS AND HOMO ARTISTICUS
Abstract
The article traces the gradual formation of Homo aestheticus, the subject of aesthetic senses. This process lasted from the Renaissance up to the middle of the XVIII century. It was preceded by the conversion of an artist (painter, sculptor, architect) from the status of an artisan, as it was considered in the Middle Ages, in the artist - Homo artisticus. The very idea of the aesthetic experience arose out of a sense of similarity of emotional impact of arts, united by a new term to that time: that is the concept of «fine arts».
