Abstract

In the article is diccussed the current situation in the assessment of scientific knowledge. The author evaluates the implementation of scientometrics as a negative step in relation to the functioning of scientific knowledge. The main parameters of scientometrics - the Hirsch index and Citation index are not only absurd, but also very harmful indicators, which represent a danger foe humanitarian scientific knowledge.
