The experience in organization of psycholinguistic experiments in perception and occasional verbalization of nonlinguistic stimuli with an emotive component (on native speakers of Russian and Mongolian)
Abstract
The work is carried out in the course of psycholinguistic approach to the study of the occasional verbalization process of non-linguistic signs of different nature which is closely related to the problem of language origin. The experiment was performed on native speakers of the Russian and Mongolian languages. The aim was firstly to identify the perception characteristics of emotive components of non-verbal signs of different nature by native speakers of the languages of different structures, and secondly to identify the strategies of emotion verbalization. The authors used photographs reflecting different emotional human states, musical samples unknown to the informants as the stimuli for their experiments. Pseudowords were used as the stimuli for the reverse experiments.
