NOTEWORTHY AS BASIS OF AESTHETIC ATTITUDE

Abstract

The article proposes to consider a classic problem of aesthetic theory — what is the an aesthetic attitude — with new point of view. In contrast to previous traditions in aesthetics that treat aesthetic attitude through disinterestedness, a special attitude to the object or through social relations, the author puts forward the hypothesis that it is noteworthy that underlies the aesthetic attitude. Also the author defends the idea that aesthetic experience is not a momentary one, but a process consisting of certain aspects, one of which is an aesthetic attitude.
