DISCURSIVE PSYCHOLOGY: THE TRANSFORMATION OF IDEAS WITHIN THE DISCOURSE ANALYTICAL RESEARCH

Abstract


The article examines the transformation of basic psychological concepts within the framework of discursive psychology, which became part of the discourse-analytical studies. The basic principle of discursive psychology is the principle of constructionism that claims the discursive nature of social reality and the psychological characteristics of the subject such as identity, way of thinking and behavior. Discursive psychologists (M. Billig, J. Potter, M. Wetherell, etc.) abandoned the study of abstract structures of identity and asserted the subject is the subject of the statement and dot its "face" only in speech practices of the discursive situation.
