CHINESE MOTIVES IN RUSSIAN THEATRE ON THE BORDER OF XIX–XX CENTURIES (SOME REMARKS)
Abstract
This article discusses some aspects of the influence of the Chinese theatrical tradition on the Russian theater on the border of XIX–XX centuries, their role in shaping the concept of synthetic theater and the process of transformation of the theater artistic language of this period. At the same time, the article proves the thesis about the relativ-ity of the conventions of artistic understanding of «Chinese» and total unarticulation and artistic reflection of the East.
