ARTISTIC PRACTICE FROM THE «END OF THE CENTURY» TO NEOAVANGUARDIA: BEYOND THE REAL

Abstract

The art since Aristoteles is considered as the imitation of the nature. in this sense, the art is a double of the nature. The latin proverb says that one that travels do not change his mind. we can say that an artist traveler that lives and creates in another country creates a double of his mind. to create a double is a way to change one’s mind in the condition of the impossibility of this creation. The Turkish and Parisian painter Albert Bitran creates a series of pictures Doubles, and this pictures provoke the interpretation of French philosopher Claude Lefort. In this paper we try to continue this discussion of the art and philosophy.
